Branding, Signage & Wayfinding
Working at CI Studio, we created the Marqette brand. The concept bringing the outdoor food market into Dublin Airport, using the finest artisanal suppliers to supply market fresh food. The bustling space resulted in a minimal and monochromatic brand. A symbol was created, which references both a Victorian greenhouse and an airport hanger, capturing the spirit of the brand.

Cues for signage were taken from indoor Victorian food markets such as hand-painted typography, industrial transport style graphics and the integration of the logo within the mosaic floor. This also tackled the tricky issue of a lack of traditional threshold. As the Roman alphabet might not be understood by every user, key offerings are identifiable by descriptive signs, echoing those that were found outside traders in the pre-literacy era. All these visual cues ensures that Marqette offers a memorable dining experience, beyond the realm of regular airport fare. Work © CI Studio.
